Brilon is a state-approved Kneipp spa, a popular hiking area and the starting point for many nature-related sports.
The historic old town with its sights, such as the town hall, one of the oldest in Germany, the market square or the Probsteikirche are worth to be discovered during a tour.
The shops in the pedestrian zone invite you to stroll and cafes and Restaurants invite you to dine.
The spa park located in Helle offers several water areas with resting and lying areas and a Kneipp facility, whose water comes from the nearby Möhnequelle. Furthermore, there are in the park a geological trail, a teaching center for beekeepers, a herb garden, the opportunity to feed goats and ducks and varied leisure activities (chess, bocce, table tennis, badminton, etc.).
Spa concerts also take place from June to August.
"Haus Hövener" is a museum of local history in Brilon. It is located directly on the market in the listed, historical Haus Hövener. Wilhelmine Hövener founded the Foundation Briloner Eisenberg and Gewerke - Stadtmuseum Brilon during her lifetime. Part of the exhibition are the geological history and dinosaurs from Brilon-Nehden and an interactive city model with several hundred years of Brilon city history.
